What innocence that is,
How clever.
But don’t you know
Nothing shall last
So when time stands still
hold on,hold on fast!
Enjoy the moment
Relish in what is–
Prolong the atonement.
But beware!
Build that house
Brick by brick
It’s still too tender and red.
Fleeting memories
flash one by one
Dissolving into the ether.
The moment is safe
Swallow the pill
Slip into temporary bliss.
The luster fades
Yet wisdom remains
Now redemption is clear.

It’s there.
I can feel it,
I can have it
When I believe it.
So I close my eyes
And hold on fast
Because sometimes
Denial settles in.
But my faith is strong
And so the dark won’t
Last long,
As my love for love
rules them all.
Now I can see it.
Now I can taste it.
Love has always been inside me.
The icy winter melts into the
dawn of spring.
And now I can share
What my heart has to sing.
