through the forest
the thick, thick forest,
lost.
climbing, climbing
up the slippery slope
and into the cavern
the dark, dark cavern
scared.
searching, searching
within the unknown
closer to the unknown
the water flows.

Prolong the atonement.

Brick by brick
It’s still too tender and red.
Fleeting memories
flash one by one
Dissolving into the ether.
The moment is safe
Swallow the pill
Slip into temporary bliss.
The luster fades
Yet wisdom remains
Now redemption is clear.
